We were first approached by the Victory Services Club in January 2019. They needed a Heavy Duty Gazebo that was easy to transport to events and store when not in use. They also wanted full custom printing to comply with their brand guidelines. At Gazebos Galore, we are used to working to precise customer requirements regarding branding. These guidelines include rules for:
Logo size, colour and positioning.
Pantone references for colour of products and text.
Specific fonts.
We were able to send artwork proofs of the gazebo to our contact at VSC and the liaise until the desired appearance was achieved. The customer then decided to add some Feather Flags to their order to further promote their organisation. We think you’ll agree that the end result was an extremely attractive promotional shelter. The Gazebo and flags really illustrate the pride the organisation has in its identity and the current and former Service personnel it serves.
What is the Victory Services Club?
The Victory Services Club is a Members Club for members and former members of the Armed Forces. It was founded in 1907 by Major Arthur Haggard. He wanted to promote “esprit de corps” – a shared feeling of pride and mutual loyalty- within the Military. This was as a result of witnessing destitution among war veterans after the Second Boer War. It aimed to provide accommodation and hospitality to those in need visiting London. Originally called the Veterans Association, the now named VSC has undergone changes in both name and address. It moved from rooms above the Cittie of Yorke pub in High Holborn to the Connaught Club on Seymour Street.
The modern VSC mission statement is To deliver outstanding Value, Service, and Courtesy. It is a registered charity with the following objectives:
“To promote military efficiency and esprit de corps by bringing together members of the Armed Forces of the Crown, former members of the Armed Forces of the Crown and members of the Armed Forces of the Commonwealth and Foreign countries, with whom they are currently allied and by improving the conditions of life of such persons.”
“To relieve need, hardship or distress among persons who have served in the Armed Forces of the Crown and their dependants.”
